Tips for hiring a busser
- Look for hustle and awareness more than experience. Bussers who notice things before being asked make the whole floor run better.
- Explain how bussers are tipped out in your post. It's one of the first questions applicants ask.
- Have candidates reset a table during the interview. It takes two minutes and shows both care and speed.
- Ask your servers for referrals. They know who works well on a busy floor and who they'd want supporting them.
