Delivery Driver job description template
Delivery drivers get your products to customers on time and in one piece, and they're often the only person from your business a customer meets face to face. A strong post says what they'll drive, how many stops a typical day has and whether the job includes carrying items inside.

Tips for hiring a delivery driver
- Call your insurance agent before you post to confirm their driver requirements, so you don't hire someone your policy won't cover.
- With the applicant's written consent, pull their motor vehicle record (MVR) before making a final offer and compare it to your insurer's guidelines.
- Do a short supervised drive in the vehicle they'll actually use, including backing up and parking in a tight spot.
- Be upfront in the post about lifting, stairs and stops per day. Drivers who know what the job really involves are more likely to stay.
