Full-timeYour Company is hiring roofers for residential re-roofs, repairs and new installs. You'll tear off old roofing, replace damaged decking, and install underlayment, flashing and shingles that keep homes dry for years to come. We work safely, use fall protection on every job and clean up so customers never find nails in their yard. Experienced roofers and dependable people ready to learn are both welcome to apply.
What you’ll do
- Tear off old shingles, underlayment and flashing, and load debris into dumpsters
- Inspect roof decking and replace damaged or rotted sheathing
- Install ice and water shield, underlayment, drip edge and starter strips
- Lay asphalt shingles straight and nail them to the manufacturer's specifications
- Flash chimneys, skylights, sidewalls and valleys so roofs stay watertight
- Install ridge vents, pipe boots and other ventilation components
- Set up fall protection, including harnesses, anchors and roof jacks, before work begins
- Run a magnetic sweeper and clean the property thoroughly at the end of each job
What we’re looking for
- Comfortable working at heights on pitched roofs while using fall protection
- Able to carry shingle bundles up ladders and lift up to 75 lbs
- Able to work full days outdoors, including in summer heat
- Reliable transportation to job sites and on time for early starts
- Committed to following fall protection and ladder safety rules on every job
Nice to have
- Experience with metal or low-slope roofing systems
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card with fall protection training
- Shingle manufacturer installer training, such as from GAF or Owens Corning
- Leak diagnosis and roof repair experience
Schedule
Full-time, usually Monday through Friday with early starts to beat the afternoon heat. Weather shifts the schedule, and some Saturdays are needed to catch up after rain days.
