Construction Laborer

Full-time
Your Company is hiring construction laborers to support our crews on residential and commercial projects. You'll load and unload materials, help with demolition and site prep, run basic equipment and keep job sites clean and safe. No experience? We'll train reliable people who are ready to learn, and laborers who show up and pick up skills can move into trade roles. If you like working outdoors and seeing a project come together, apply today.

What you’ll do

  • Load, unload and carry lumber, block, drywall and other materials around the site
  • Assist carpenters, masons and other trades with setup and tasks as directed
  • Dig trenches and footings, then backfill and compact soil by hand or with equipment
  • Tear out drywall, flooring, framing and fixtures during demolition
  • Set up and take down scaffolding, barricades and safety signs
  • Operate jackhammers, plate compactors, concrete mixers and other basic equipment
  • Mix, pour and spread concrete under the direction of the crew lead
  • Haul debris to the dumpster and keep walkways clear so the site stays safe

What we’re looking for

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stay on your feet all day in all weather
  • Reliable transportation to job sites, which change from week to week
  • Willing to wear required safety gear: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves and work boots
  • Able to follow directions and safety rules, and to ask when you're unsure
  • Punctual and dependable, since crews count on everyone being there at start time

Nice to have

  • OSHA 10 construction safety card
  • Flagger certification if required in our state
  • Previous work on a construction, demolition or landscaping crew
  • Forklift or skid steer experience

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday with early-morning starts. Some Saturdays and longer days when weather or deadlines require.

What we offer

  • Paid OSHA 10 training
  • Hard hat, safety glasses and gloves provided

  • Paid weekly
  • A clear path into apprentice and skilled trade roles

Tips for hiring a construction laborer

  • For laborers, reliability matters more than experience. Ask references whether the person showed up on time, every day.
  • Do a paid trial day on a real job site. You'll learn quickly who works steadily and follows safety rules.
  • Put the pay, start time and the safety gear you provide right in the post. Laborer applicants compare those details first.
  • Mention any path into a trade, such as paid OSHA training or apprenticeship sponsorship. It attracts people who want to stay and grow with you.
